The BeWell Studio story

Hi, I’m Cathy and B.Y (before yoga) I was a serious social runner, a gym goer, circuit member, dabbled in the old Step and Pump, but like most yogi’s, I found my space and place on the mat after some challenging times, or in plain speak, during an absolute sh*t storm.

Throughout that time, the mat and my yoga kept me together, focused, grounded and I just loved how it made me feel. I moved better, slept better, could manage and hold the chaos of life so much better.

15 years later and having practiced with this studio under the stewardship of Amy Kremenski (Bikram Yoga Adelaide, then One Degree) the most wonderful, unimaginable opportunity came my way.

And that was to buy this studio. It has been an absolute labour of love for Amy and she has spent her career building the community, people, practice and her studios. For her to hand the baton to me, is an absolute privilege that I take very seriously.

As the owner, we have undergone some rapid change that includes the name (why, hello BeWell Studio), our schedule, (welcome new practices and yoga), and a different feel and vibe (g’day you cute plants and delicious smells).

What hasn’t changed is the practice, the teachers and our love and commitment to the Yoga, it’s healing and wanting to shout
out to the world all the goodness that Yoga brings to you.

I like to think of us (the BeWell crew) as custodians of Yoga and that our space at BeWell yoga as a safe and embracing place to just be you – whatever that looks like, and however that feels.

BeWell Studio is committed to our foundation of Bikram Yoga – healing, meditative and strong Yoga, but with a committed practice of Yoga (all and any Yoga).
